Hand painted DIY courtly check on Goodwill plates! Uhm LOVE! Not 100% perfect, im still learning & practice makes perfect, right?!? Hopefully I can perfect it soon! I used nothing fancy, just acrylic paints from the craft section at Walmart (these can be found at any craft store, I live in a super small town & my nearest craft store is around 40 minutes away! Boo). The paint brushes I bought at Walmart also, I found a value pack for around $4 bucks. Cheap! Make sure the end is squared, not sure what the technical name for this would be ha! Start out with either a white plate or primer a plate white. Go from left to right when you're painting the black checks & go over with some random gold streaks.
I think they turned out fab, and let's talk about those counters.. FAUX granite! I'll make a post about it later.
After allowing the paint to dry completely, I then went over the ceramic plate with Polycrylic.
Looks good and must have required a lot of patience

ReplyDeleteYou'll get better. Practice your squares and shade with maroon blue lime and gold. Lighten your shading. Good start! Keep painting.
